How to View Deleted Reddit Posts?
When you're browsing Reddit, it's annoying to find a deleted post with a lot of upvotes. A quick look at the thread title and your curiosity takes over, making you wonder how cool it would be if you could just travel back in time and see that deleted thread. what was

Well, it's not possible - just the time travel part. We'll show you five different ways to find old, deleted Reddit posts and comments to satisfy your curious mind.

1. Unddit
Unddit

Unddit is probably the easiest tool to view deleted Reddit threads. It lets you view deleted posts and comments, and color-codes the deleted content based on who removed it. Unddit will also exhibit the username of the user who originally posted the comment.

Unddit is very easy to use. Just go to unddit.com and drag the red Unddit button to the bookmarks bar. Now, open the deleted Reddit thread you want to view, and with the page fully loaded, click the Unddit bookmark from the bar.

Alternatively, you can just replace "reddit" with "unddit" in the thread URL and it will take you to the same Unddit web page.

Unddit pulls data from the PushShift archive and presents it in an interface similar to the old Reddit. PushShift is a social media data addidion and searching platform that has been archiving Reddit data since 2015.

As mentioned over, Unddit uses a reddish-blue color scheme to distinguish between user-deleted and moderator-removed comments. It highlights deleted user comments in blue, while comments with a red background were removed by a subreddit moderator.

If you want to see all deleted comments on a post, you'll have to wait a while as Unddit loads the data. However, there is a quick way if you want to view a particular comment directly in a thread. You can specify a direct link to the thread containing the deleted comment and Unddit will simply retrieve and load that thread from the archive.

2. Reveddit
Reveddit

When you visit reveddit.com, you'll find a single text field where you can enter a username, subreddit name, or thread link. Upon specifying a subreddit name, Reveddit will list all deleted threads and comments posted under that subreddit. You can then browse through the results to find anything that catches your eye or simply use the other search options to find what you want.

Like Unddit, you can input URLs for both posts and specific threads. Also, you can replace "reddit" with "reveddit" in the thread URL to view deleted content directly in that specific thread.

The only drawback? Reveddit does not display comments deleted by users. You can only see comments deleted by the subreddit moderator.

3. Resavr
Resavr

Resavr is a platform that allows users to save, share, and discover long-form messages from popular chat applications like Slack, Discord, and Telegram. It archives and indexes these messages, making it easier for users to search and access the content they need.

The resavr.com interface is quite simple. It lists recently deleted Reddit comments and is a great website for those who just want to spend some time reading deleted comments. It does link back to the original deleted Reddit thread, though, so you can go ahead and check out the entire post to understand the context behind the thread.

4. The Wayback Machine
The Wayback Machine

Also known as the Internet Archive, the Wayback Machine archives the whole Internet, including Reddit. If the above tools fail to reveal deleted content, you can check the Wayback Machine in hopes that it may have saved the comment you want to read.

To get started, go to web.archive.org and enter the URL of the Reddit post you want to view. Be sure to clean up the URL first by removing any trailing, unnecessary HTTP parameters.

The website will display recorded snapshots spread across a calendar. If there is a corresponding snapshot, you can click on the day the snapshot was recorded and view the web page.

Note: Note that if a user/moderator has deleted a comment or thread before the Wayback Machine can archive it, it will show the comment as deleted.

5. Google Cache
Google Cache

Like the Wayback Machine, Google indexes web pages and stores cached versions of those pages to display to users. You can also view deleted Reddit comments and posts using Google's cache.

To get started, first, search for a Reddit post using the thread title. Then, when you search the post on the find transmission results page, click the three-dot icon next to the result. If at the bottom of the modal window, you find an option labeled Cached, it means that Google has a cached version of that page and you can view it by clicking on the option.

If you're lucky, the deleted thread or comment you want to see will still be there and you'll be able to read it before Google re-crawls and saves a new version of the page. Obviously, this only works with recently deleted comments, since Google crawls web pages at a tremendous rate and updates cached pages frequently.

Reddit Is Home to Some Great Discussions!
Seeing deleted comments and posts may seem inappropriate at first, assuming someone removed them for a reason. There are many websites that let you dig into data and revive deleted Reddit threads. This is especially helpful when you want to recover a deleted Reddit comment that you accidentally removed.

Given how rudimentary Reddit's search function is, it's highly likely that you've spent hours searching for a thread you've read before, only to never find it again. A user may have deleted the post or you may not be browsing the website correctly. Therefore, learning how to browse the Internet is very important, especially on a platform like Reddit, where thousands of new threads are published every hour.
